Notes from building Spomory
Real bugs, found and fixed — not a highlight reel.
A stranger's code review caught two real gaps we'd missed A technical reviewer on a public post about Spomory pointed out that forget_all_memory relied entirely on a client-side hint it can't enforce, and that conflicting facts from two clients had no principled way to pick a winner. Both are fixed and shipped in v0.2.0.
Six real bugs between us and a working Glama deployment "This server cannot be deployed" with no explanation. Adding a Dockerfile didn't fix it — the real chain was a missing claim step, a wrong start command, missing optional dependencies, a model loading eagerly at startup, and a mislabeled release, each with its own real error log.
Write it in Claude Desktop, read it back in Cursor Real screenshots from Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Codex CLI — including the same fact added in one client and retrieved in another, proving the shared cloud memory graph actually works, not just in the docs.
A rendering bug that only real English input could expose Retrieval context rendering assumed CJK input from the first line of code. It took writing an English demo and running it for real to find out.
